Edward and Eric's Arcade Brawl is a side-scrolling arcade beat 'em up game that was developed by Konami and Chatterbox Games. It was released on May 3, 1999, and it is the first video game based on the Edward and Eric franchise. While the game can be played alone with just one character, it allows up to six players to control either Edward, EricJoeyDallas, Stanley or Constantinos.

The game was released for the Game Boy Advance on August 27, 2002. It was also ported to the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network on September 5, 2008 as a way to commemorate the show's tenth anniversary. Exactly ten years later, it was released digitally for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It is backwards compatible on Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5.

Plot[]

A laboratory accident at Lakeside City School caused by Dr. Knotley has caused numerous monsters to start popping up everywhere, and it's up to either one member of The Lucky 6 or a maximum of the entire gang to navigate through the city and defeat the creatures.

Gameplay[]

Edward and Eric's Arcade Brawl is a side-scrolling beat 'em up that, while normally allowing one player, can support up to six players for each member of The Lucky 6. The game features eight different worlds, each with a boss at the end. The player has a health bar and will start off with three lives; if their health bar becomes empty, they will lose a life.

Characters possess their own individual movesets. Characters standing next to each other are able to create combined attacks; if six players do this, all of The Lucky 6 will pile up onto each other in the same order as they appear on their totem pole from the original series. The player is able to pick up and throw or swing certain items, such as street signs, baseball bats, trash cans/lids, umbrellas, mailboxes, etc. as melee weapons.

Defeated enemies will drop coins, which can be spent in shops to replenish health or boost stats. Certain items can be taken "to go" to be automatically used when a player runs out of health, preventing them from losing a life. If all lives are lost (the player starts off with three of them), the player may continue the game by adding credits within a twenty second time limit.

During co-operative play, players can revive their fallen comrades at the cost of a few coins, give each other health or coins, and perform aforementioned combined attacks against enemies.
